An example of how a CPS Service Plan, Safety Plan, Family Plan (or whatever the hell they call it in YOUR state) works.

While you are busy complying, the ASFA 15 out of 22 months clock to Termination of Parental Rights (TPR) is ticking, ticking, ticking.

"Oh, I'm sorry.  We forgot to tell you about THAT.  Sorry, but that's the 'law'."

Oddly enough, it's one of the few LAWS they do "obey".

Parents rarely recognize what is going on.  They are scared to death and blindly VOLUNTARILY COMPLYING with every whim and wish a CPS agent makes as if we live in North Korea.

The light bulb usually doesn't come on in their heads until about 2 days before the TPR hearing (or in some cases until YEARS later)-

"HEY!  I THINK WE HAVE BEEN HAD!"

That's when they get on the internet, find us, and beg for help to "turn this TPR around".

Which is rather short notice to start learning Do It Yourself Law.

Consider yourself warned.

If CPS hasn't attacked you YET (if you have kids, eventually they WILL get around to YOU), anytime is a good time to learn Do It Yourself Law.  It's a handy life skill to have for dealing with LOTS of the Legal horse shit in this god-forsaken society.
