[suijuriscourtangels] Fw: Make a phone call to stop CAPTA

I just saw this e-mail and called the capital switchboard as instructed below. I was pleased to say that I made contact with a human, who told me that the hearing was not about renewal of CAPTA but rather a hearing regarding best practices for CPS and child abuse prevention. The women who told me this also mentioned that there were a number of calls received that wanted to make sure that CAPTA was not renewed and that the renewal hearing was not scheduled for anytime soon and it is not on the calendar at all.

I was then informed that the info on the hearing can be seen at edlabor.house.gov. I’ve drilled down some more to find that the information can be found at http://edlabor.house.gov/hearings/2009/11/preventing-child-abuse-and-imp.shtml
