UPDATE

Uh-huh.  Went straight to the "Legal" department.  Ain't gonna answer a blessed question.  What happened to the "complaints" and "violations" version of the story?

Why is my content still on their site if they are saying they don't want it?  Especially when they knew up-front exactly what my content was going to be and approved it to begin with?  Upon re-reading the Agreement, I can't even tell you what my readership at Examiner was.  I think I can say generally that I was often approaching or exceeding the daily average of ALL their writers.

In fact, their Agreement pretty much says they can do anything they please and I have no recourse.  Fine.

So I was the Family Rights Examiner.  But perhaps dealing with real Family Rights issues was too HOT and un-PC for them.  Perhaps they were looking for a Family Warm Fuzzy Puff Piece Examiner.

Pay me?  I refused to be paid from the beginning.  If my content wasn't what they wanted, why offer to pay for it?

I don't care about no longer being an "Examiner".  I have no trouble being heard.  This is not a blog.  It's the American Family Rights Association website- "The Voice of America's Families" ©  I am the webmaster and opinion leader.

I care about being lied to and stonewalled about WHAT is really going on.  And gag-ordering me.

Something is rotten in Colorado.  They are acting really scared, and I would like to know WHY.  As if they are being threatened and coerced.

If it's one of the two possibilities I suspect, rattling the Saber at me and gagging me is a dumb plan.

And if it IS what I REALLY suspect, it would be super handy for me to know-  To the benefit of all of us, including the Examiner.

This is not a good time to be keeping "secrets" from old Uncle Leonard.

Agent Provocateurs?
Family Rights Examiner shut down

by Leonard Henderson
December 6, 2009

Say it ain't so

As you might know, I post in "Comments" sections all over the country on stories related to the general realm of Family Rights and especially in response to  stories about CPS, psychiatric or judicial wrong-doing.

Everywhere I go, hecklers show up to support the big government, CPS people are heroes, etc.  They rail against whatever we the majority of Americans believe.

They arrogantly pretend (or assume) that they somehow have Moral Authority to blow their caustic snot.

One thing I have noticed about their comments is THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME. As if they read the same "talking points' from the same page (Alinsky?)  As if they follow me around wherever I go.

As some of you know, I became a columnist for the Examiner a couple months ago.  They are always looking for "experts" to speak with authority in their "field".

Part of their process for "vetting" a potential columnist is to look at what you have already written.  I happily supplied them with links to the American Family Rights Association website, my Scribbles articles, and my old Blog.

My account manager just "loved" my writing.

GAGGED

I came out swinging HARD in my first article-

What's happening with Federal Government financed Child Welfare
October 12, 4:22 AM
Family Rights Examiner Leonard Henderson

The first article submitted is NOT automatically published.  It waits to be reviewed before it is published.  No problem with my article.  It was published with no complaints or bad remarks.

GAGGED

Thereafter, my articles were published automatically.

-and I haven't let up since. Thirty-Four columns of the same hard-hitting, take no prisoners, factual, hyper-linked, exciting (or utterly disgusting) TRUTH as the FIRST ONE.   With AFRA's NewsHawks daily finding fantastic stories of systemic corruption and insanity all over the US, Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand, I have no shortage of material to work with forever.

Hecklers?  Of course.  I just LOVE hecklers.  They bring out the best in me, cutting their arguments to shreds.

Last Friday, December 4, I posted this story-

Foster kid in Colorado tased twice in 3 weeks
December 4, 4:17 PM

Within a couple hours, I received this email-

Is this supposed to be GAGGED too?

Leonard,

Due to the large number of complaints we have received about your content,
as well as several violations of our editorial guidelines, the decision
has been made to deactivate your account at Examiner.com.

Thank you.

My first reaction was "Huh?". I sent this email reply-

OK.  What are the complaints about, and what are the "violations"?

I went and checked.  My stories were still on and I could still log in to my "Publisher Tool" account.

I did go re-read the "Editorial Guidelines" to see if I had stupidly missed or forgotten something.

(I am not new to newspapers.  I used to be the CONSULTANT to one.  They got sued by a Senator for taking a picture of him standing in a boat, taking a leak in the Snake River.  The newspaper won.  The asshole Senator lost the election.)

Later on December 4, I added another video to my pervious December 3rd article-

The war on kids
December 3, 8:34 PM

No problem.  So I assumed that "deactivated" email was a prank by one of the hecklers.  My Account Manager had never issued one single admonition or warning to me whatsoever.

Slightly after midnight December 5, I logged in to my "Publisher Tool" account.

GAGGED

So I fired this email off to my Account Manager-

Apparently, yesterday's email to me from Examiner was real.

This morning, I can't log in to the "Publishing Tool".  My articles are still on.

Yesterday, I re-read the Editorial Guidelines to see what I might have done in violation.  I have properly attributed and linked quoted stories, no nudity, no links to porn, no slander or libel, and NO false statements.  Any graphic I have used has been linked to the original source or properly attributed.  I am extremely conscious of copyrights.

The only thing in the Editorial Guidelines that I am not exactly in compliance with is a blanket statement about "not offending anybody" because I deal with HIGHLY controversial subjects.

Censoring me smells POLITICAL, and anonymous "complaints" aren't going to fly.

For at least a year, I have had this quote at the top of the AFRA website-

"He who does not bellow out the truth when he knows the truth makes himself the accomplice
of liars and forgers."
-
Charles Peguy (1873-1914) French poet, essayist and editor

If this isn't America any more, and there is no Freedom of the Press, please let me know so I can SHUT UP NOW and avoid the Gulag.  This would be a handy bit of information to know.

Far be it from me to suspect any political arm-twisting might have happened.

IIf Colorado DHS threatened you, I DARNED SURE WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT.

"If you are afraid to speak against tyranny, then you are already a slave."
- John “Birdman” Bryant self labeled as “The World’s Most Controversial Author”

(There's another dirty, rotten thing going on in Colorado too, which I am not discounting, either.)

AFRA no stranger to being CENSORED

Back in 2004, the American Family Rights Association was heavily involved with the Parker Jensen case in Utah.  Our associate Accountability Utah had pasted AFRA banners all over Salt Lake City and even made the news by banging on the doors at the Governor's office yelling "The PEOPLE are here".

And of course we were stirring the pot by publishing the asinine statements of the Utah Attorney General about the case.  Hey!  He SAID IT.  We merely reported it.

The American Family Rights Association website disappeared from the air.  Just gone.  No explanation.  So I went to my webhost at that time to see what the deal was.  No comment from them.  They refused to talk about it.

Interestingly enough, and far be it from me to suspect that there might have been some spooky arm-twisting but that webhost was in....wait for it...UTAH.

I purchased new webspace elsewhere and proceeded to reset the DNS to point to the new host.  OUR DOMAIN registration at Network Solutions WAS LOCKED.  They wouldn't communicate with me either.

I ended up having to change Domain Registrars to GO DADDY in Arizona.  They assured me that they didn't respond to politics.  How refreshing.

Still, it took almost a month to get our domain name UNLOCKED and transferred to Go Daddy.  The AFRA website was back up at it's new happy host.  Which host is now in... Chicago.  There are plenty of crooked politicians from Chicago who don't like AFRA one bit.  So far, no problem.  But then again, now that I mentioned it....

So we have been down this CENSORSHIP trail before.

Just today, I heard about paid "agent provocateurs" for $600+ weekly salary offered on CraigsList.  I went looking, but didn't find any.  Are there?

Let me know if you see any of these ads.
