Oh, mama!
A Long Island woman looking to settle the score with a 9-year-old who had argued
with her daughter put an ad in the sex section of Craigslist and gave the girl's
home phone number to the horny creeps who responded, cops said.
The target of social worker
Margery Tannenbaum's twisted revenge was an unidentified
elementary-school student who carpooled to class with her own kid, cops said.
"It was a dispute between the two 9-year-old daughters, which
escalated," said Suffolk County Detective Sgt. Tim Burns.
To get even with the child, cops said, Tannenbaum
-- who holds a psychology degree -- posted an ad in the Craigslist
"personal encounters" section in February, which said "Looking
for a good time? W4M 21."
The last part of the ad was a code that let salacious Web surfers know that a
woman, age 21, was looking to have an encounter with a man.
Sex-seeking online suitors soon started responding to an e-mail address posted
with the ad, cops said.
Those e-mails went to Tannenbaum, who responded by sending the suitors the
child's family phone number.
The victim's family was deluged with calls from guys expecting to find a loose,
college-age girl -- not a child.
"There were more than 20 phone calls from men calling up looking for a good
time," said Burns, who added that the girl herself never answered any of
the calls, only her parents.
The messages were soon traced back to Tannenbaum, who was arrested Monday,
charged with aggravated
harassment, and freed on $500 bail with a desk-appearance ticket.
Cops first revealed the arrest yesterday.
Tannenbaum declined comment.
Confidentiality yanno.
Her neighbors were appalled when they heard of the disturbing allegations.
"Oh, my God! Why would
she do that?" said one neighbor who declined to give her name.
"She told me she had a degree in psychology, and this is just nuts."
Another said: "Good
Lord! It seems cruel, at the very least."
Just imagine what she was doing to her "consumers". This sort of thing and MUCH WORSE Character Assassination is what families are facing EVERY DAY as part of CPS' dirty dealings. This IS THE CULTURE OF THE AGENCIES.
