AFRA NewsHawk Guidelines and Style
The original idea with AFRA News was to find and expose as much anti-CPS information as possible, to show people (and the authorities who are playing stupid) that the problems people are having with CPS lying, evidence fabrication, fraud and the unConstitutional actions of Family Courts are not merely going on in a dark corner in limited locations, but is a PANDEMIC in every westernized country in the world.
The reason was to supply the EVIDENCE that we are not making our allegations and indictment of the system off the top of our heads.
Ever since the NewsHawks system was set up to enable people to participate in submitting news stories, we have had very few problems with people's submissions.
Not for chat, gab, or "social networking"-
Of course there's the occasional urge for newbies to chat because they are used to gabbing on yahoogroups. Please resist the urge to answer NewsHawk stories. OK? I just have to nuke them. People who habitually forget this get put on Moderated status.
The stories we want-
CPS people committing crimes, agency blowups, fraud, corruption, defunding.
Foster Home beatings, rapes, deaths, fraud and corruption.
Pertinent Court Decisions, both pro and con to our agenda.
Government actions, hearings, Congressional Bills, Senate Bills, both pro and con to our agenda.
Studies, Polls, Reports, White papers PRO our agenda.
Family General Interest stories.
Biological Parents and Family who have defeated False Allegations
WE DO NOT WANT STORIES OF BIOLOGICAL PARENTS ABUSE OR CRIMES.
The regular news media has been all over those stories for 40 years, keeping up the perception of CPS being important and necessary. We darn sure aren't going to help.
Presentation-
|
|
We do our best to get people to understand that AFRA
NewsHawks is a News
Aggregator that supplies
RSS newsfeeds.
At the left is the SpringWidgets
RSS NewsReader for an example of how the headlines are presented.
Since you are enabled to submit news stories by simply emailing them to the AFRA NewsHawks yahoogroup, knowing how to make a reasonably professional presentation of stories is a great idea.
STYLE-
Ideally, for the best presentation, this email format works the best-
| Subject: Headline from story below |
| Bold Headline (one size larger than
normal is nice) Bold tagline in normal size by Author Story Date Name of news source You may insert a few lines from the story here, or the whole story if
it's a short one http://hyperlink_to_news_story_at_original_location Make SURE your link works! Some copy and pastes from browsers insert spaces (as %20) and this breaks the link. Copy the link from the browser address bar, not a "mail to your friend" link. You may insert your personal comment on story here in bold red or brown |
We absolutely want to promote and give credit to the source, because we want people to know we aren't making it up. Giving full credit is a great idea for copyright reasons, plus it's just a polite and professional thing to do.
The Widget at the left displays only the SUBJECT of the email sent to NewsHawks, so it is good practice to put the story Headline in the subject of your email to NewsHawks.
On the other hand, the RSS Newsfeed we use on the AFRA News page displays not only the email Subject as the headline, but it just grabs a certain number of words from the rest of the story.
Once again, we really appreciate the AFRA NewsHawks, because you make our News Aggregator alive, current, and provide useful information to our readers.
